I Give Because I’m Blessed - I’m Blessed Because I Give by Moji Taiwo - Book Launch 2018




I had the great pleasure of interviewing Moji Taiwo for her upcoming book, '' I Give Because I’m Blessed, I’m Blessed Because I Give.'' She's a Nigerian-Canadian that have contributed greatly to our Canadian society. Her story of coming here as an immigrant at a young age is inspiring. A young woman of Nigerian descent coming to Canada in a time period where being young, woman and black had its own challenges. She had her own mind and as a result, created a life unique to her. 40 years later, she has written an autobiography to help us newcomers and visible minorities to have the courage to pursue the lives of our dreams. We have touched on several topics in this interview.

South Sudanese - Canadian Author: Acai Louis Kuol Arop

Acai Louis Kuol Arop, Author. Acai is a South Sudanese - Canadian author based in Edmonton, Alberta. She writes based on contemporary issues in short stories format. She's an upcoming and rising South Sudanese writer in an industry that's male-dominated it is nice to see women get in the industry and write for themselves and other women. I got the opportunity to read a short story by Acai, it's called '' Broken Pieces.'' It is amazing.  Acai did an excellent job narrating and speaking from the viewpoint of the main character. She beautifully narrates the challenges of love and relationships from a woman's perspective. She wrote that story for women. She's highly talented and I hope to see more work from her in the future. Kang JJ: Inner Peace Campaign

Kang John Jock is an African-pop artist professionally known as Kang JJ, has been singing messages of peace and love for a very long time. I first heard of his music in my relative's car in Minnesota in 2012, since then I've been a fan. His music is very soothing, relaxing and gets you in a state of love. You feel positive, happy, and joyful after listening to his meaningful songs. Songs encouraging healthy relationships to songs of advocating for political peace and democracy. His songs resonates with peace lovers internationally. One of the things he is focusing now is on advocating for peace in South Sudan. The young nation has been at war since December 2013.
