 Lam Pal Chuol, is a South Sudanese - American based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He has started an accounting business. I've personally endorsed this business because Lam, is educating and creating awareness around financial literacy with his business and helping community members become financially aware and what their options are. We come from a background where financial literacy isn't strong and to have young people like Lam spearheading a different future is inspiring. When it comes to the financial world it is important to be represented. When someone comes from a similar background and educates you there's a level of trust built in that interaction that would be harder to achieve elsewhere.  I know this business will treat their customers with respect and dignity now that's what I am excited about. Lam is open to all people and his business is inclusive of all Americans. But as a South Sudanese - Canadian, I am inspired by the actions of this South Sudanese - American to expose our community to the financial world in a healthy way. I am proud of Lam and I endorse his business to all people in Minnesota. If I was in the states, his business would be my choice in doing my taxes. South Sudanese - Canadian Author: Acai Louis Kuol Arop

Acai Louis Kuol Arop, Author. Acai is a South Sudanese - Canadian author based in Edmonton, Alberta. She writes based on contemporary issues in short stories format. She's an upcoming and rising South Sudanese writer in an industry that's male-dominated it is nice to see women get in the industry and write for themselves and other women. I got the opportunity to read a short story by Acai, it's called '' Broken Pieces.'' It is amazing.  Acai did an excellent job narrating and speaking from the viewpoint of the main character. She beautifully narrates the challenges of love and relationships from a woman's perspective. She wrote that story for women. She's highly talented and I hope to see more work from her in the future. Kang John Jock is an African-pop artist professionally known as Kang JJ, has been singing messages of peace and love for a very long time. I first heard of his music in my relative's car in Minnesota in 2012, since then I've been a fan. His music is very soothing, relaxing and gets you in a state of love. You feel positive, happy, and joyful after listening to his meaningful songs. Songs encouraging healthy relationships to songs of advocating for political peace and democracy. His songs resonates with peace lovers internationally. One of the things he is focusing now is on advocating for peace in South Sudan. The young nation has been at war since December 2013. Kang is launching a campaign called, '' Inner Peace, '' because he has seen how war turn friends into enemies and the silence of peace lovers within the community.
