Acai Louis Kuol Arop, Author. Acai is a South Sudanese - Canadian author based in Edmonton, Alberta. She writes based on contemporary issues in short stories format. She's an upcoming and rising South Sudanese writer in an industry that's male-dominated it is nice to see women get in the industry and write for themselves and other women. I got the opportunity to read a short story by Acai, it's called '' Broken Pieces.'' It is amazing.  Acai did an excellent job narrating and speaking from the viewpoint of the main character. She beautifully narrates the challenges of love and relationships from a woman's perspective. She wrote that story for women. She's highly talented and I hope to see more work from her in the future.
